Summary
This handmade drum is a unique piece signed by Red Shirt Reyna in 1988. The drum was made in Taos, NM, and has a tribal affiliation to the Taos Pueblo. The artisan, Red Shirt Reyna, is a renowned Native American drum maker who has shared his culture with the world. Many Pueblan groups eagerly share their culture to outsiders and this drum is a representation of Red Shirt Reyna’s artistry and the Taos Pueblo culture. It is a nice addition to any Native American collection.
Condition
This Taos Pueblo handmade drum is in decent condition. I would give it a 5 out of 10. One edge is curled up and it shows the wear you might expect on a 35-year-old drum. A drum maker could easily restore the curled up edge. See photos.
