Antique Handel table lamp, circa 1910, with a domed chipped-ice glass shade and an ornate gilt-metal base. The shade is decorated with reverse-painted pink dogwood flowers, green foliage, and insect motifs, with a textured pale blue ground. The shade interior shows the floral decoration and bears the visible number 1515 with a small mark; the lamp is identified as Handel. The cast, floral-relief metal base has a scrolling, flared foot and a pull-chain socket. A pull chain is present. The lamp combines early 20th-century decorative lighting with a richly colored reverse-painted shade.
Overall good condition with tarnish, stains on base and minor nicks on shade rim. Wear consistent with age and use; as photographed.
