Quartz is perhaps the most well-known crystal, but only one location in the world produces what are called \"diamond\" crystals - Herkimer Co, New York, USA. Because of this, they\'re called \"Herkimer Diamond\" Quartz, or sometimes \"Herkimer Quartz Diamonds.\" Take a look around , though. There are hundreds that are 2-4cm tall. There are tons of groupings of these crystals too, 99%+ of which have been reassembled after mining. This is a singular Herkimer and it is nearly 4\" in length - 9.3cm. It\'s... HUGE. All of the faces are (amazingly) intact and the light shines through it prismatically from many angles.
