Amazing 1910 California Photo Album Focused on Southern California Including the Los Angeles Area and San Diego. Nice larger format album with gold lettering on the front documenting a January1910 trip to California. Inside I counted 137 images. All the photos are approximately postcard size and they exhibit excellent clarity, focus and presentation. Better than typical snapshots, the person who took the pictures appears to have had a high quality camera and skill as a photographer. The photos do not appear to be glued in but are affixed to the pages by vintage tape on the back of the photos or the \"tape\" might be postage stamp hinges that you would attach a stamp to an album. I show the back of one photo that has partially come loose where you can see the square tape or hinge that holds the photos in. Some corners on some photos have come loose. The photos are very nicely laid out. Although the photos are not annotated I can identify the Santa Barbara Mission, Catalina Island, the Hotel del Coronado, etc. There are other photos showing other missions, hotels, mansions, large structures, coast lines, ships, street views, train stations, a fruit packing building, other industrial buildings a Carnegie library done in California architecture style, etc. that can probably be identified with more research. All the pictures are consistent with Southern California landscapes and architecture. Almost all the photos show some sort of point of interest, building, landscape, etc. Almost no photos of just people or family type photos making this an exceptional album.Album covers are intact but do show some wear as shown in photos but binding and spine fully intact and tight. No loose or missing pages. Album appears to be 100% complete with no evidence of missing photos which is also rare. For shipments outside theUnited States, I only ship through the global shipping service.
