This radio arrived on my service bench 9-16-2026. It was clean and did not look like it was used much… probably because it was missing its battery door. (I fabricated a replacement)I connected it to power and the radio worked. Its tuner dial was pointing no where near the frequency being tuned. (I re-aligned its tuner to fix that) and its volume control was a little scratchy. It worked on both AM and FM and sounded good.Research:

I don’t sell radios that are missing their battery doors. I made a new one. Please see my photos.The radio was working well. Even so, I always replace the electrolytic capacitors in the vintage radios I sell. This radio has eight. It’s original ones checked to be in good condition.During service, I always check: the working condition of its earphone jack, deox applied to its volume control, lubricate its antenna, etc… whatever is needed to make a radio work like new for a long time. I adjusted the tuner’s trim so its pointer more accurately points to what frequency is being tuned.And that was it. I reassembled the radio and thoroughly tested it. I tested both bands:Performance:
Volume control goes smoothly from totally silent to overload loud. For strong local stations it produces a sound that is Clean and Clear.AM = Quite sensitive. Not the most sensitive AM radio ever, it tuned all my local stations with ease. I have some weak stations in the neighboring towns and found them too.FM = Excellent. FM tuned all my local FM stations with its antenna down. With its antenna extended, it tuned a few more or made some of the weaker stations louder.Condition:
No Chips. No Cracks. It has a little wear that shows it has been used, but overall it is in good cosmetic condition.Collector Quality: “C+”-----I usually service the vintage radios I sell on .
