Up for sale, is this original, size 66, German M35, Heer Single D, DAK helmet. Professionally restored by Jacob Caputo of “Alexander & Sons”.
The helmet was set up as a Heer M35, textured re-issue, that was then hand painted over in a tropical, desert camouflage. The color is the famous Afrikakorps tan khaki with the pink hue. The paint was chipped and lightly scuffed to give the helmet a nice, authentic patina, but despite the aged appearance it’s never been worn.
The maker is ET (ET66) and the lot number is 4735.
The adler is the correct ET style for this helmet and it was masked around in the classic DAK way. Feel free to ask for additional photos.
The size 58*59, early-war, aluminum liner is super high-quality, has a natural finish, and was purchased from At The Front. The chinstrap is also top-shelf in quality. The paint job shows light aging, but the chinstrap and liner are in new condition.
The vents show some wear, but it’s not very noticeable, and the shell is in perfect condition other than that. There was not a bit of putty used anywhere on the helmet. It’s 100% German WW2 steel and the heat-stamps are pristine.
Thank you.
