Walking the grounds of the Guinness Zoo while nursing a freshly poured beer. He has his hands full these days taking care of the seal, ostrich and turtle. Very collectible. Makes a great gift. John Gilroy was an English artist hired in the early 1930\'s to create a marketing campaign featuring a family drinking the beer. He instead was inspired by a sea lion he saw at the circus balancing a ball on his nose and thought he would draw it with a beer instead. First came the sea lion with much success. Then came other animals (a bear, a lion, a Kinkajou, crocodile, ostrich, pelican, kangaroo, a tortoise and the award-winning colorful Toucan which first appeared in 1935.
