Black Full Flap Pistol / Revolver Holster - Right Hand Draw
Although only invented in the middle 1830\'s, by the 1850\'s the revolver had decisively replaced the single shot pistol as the handgun of choice for military and civilian use. By the time the Civil War started, there were dozens of manufacturers offering a myriad of different models. Holster design followed suit, with the standard US military design having a leather body, fold over flap, and cross-draw design.
This listing is for a holster with RIGHT HAND DRAW.
This holster can be worn two ways:
Cross Draw - Right Hand Draw will be worn on the left hip with grip forward.
Straight / Strong Side Draw - Right Hand Draw can be worn on right hip with grip facing rearward for straight / strong side draw.
Each holster is made of high quality genuine leather with belt loop, fold over top flap, and brass finial closure. It will accommodate many Civil Ware era revolvers including the Colt Army and Navy models.
