\"These authentic Mason decoy replicas are carved and hand painted using old original Mason decoys for models. They are carved dimensionally correct, then painted with the same pattern as the original, using stains and dyes and leaving natural wood areas to be finished with hand rubbed Danish oil. Mason is considered to be one of the finest carvers of his era. Born in Dublin, Ireland, he immigrated to Detroit, Michigan in 1850. He began carving in 1889 using his personal sketches for reference and contracted rheumatic fever from lying in a marsh while studying wild ducks for his carving and painting patterns. He died in 1905. His original works now command a premium, each selling for thousands of dollars.\"

Hand carved and stained wooden duck decoy signed by Frank L. Beall, dated April 2nd, 1985. Beall was dedicated to producing faithful replicas of classic Mason decoy designs, using original Mason birds as models. Carved dimensionally correct, finished with stains, dyes, and hand-rubbed Danish oil.
Original two-panel provenance tag attached, written by Beall himself, detailing the Mason legacy. Original $100 price tag still present.
Signed, dated, titled to bottom. Glass eye. Excellent display condition.
