The 64 page book is called First Trains, the Illustrated History of the Railways. It is number 1 from 1977. It covers the trains from 1830 to 1890. It does have some damage on the front cover both the bottom corners, please see pictures. It has rumble pages the last 10 or so at the bottom like it had water damage, but none of the pages are stuck together. It is very readable. Email with questions or for more pictures.
