FORTNUM & MASON QUEEN ELIZABETH II DIAMOND JUBILEE TEA SERVICE from 2012
A rare opportunity to acquire an unusually complete Fortnum & Mason fine bone china tea service created for the 2012 Diamond Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II, commemorating 60 years of her reign.
Offered together as a 14-piece collector\'s set, this striking service features Fortnum & Mason\'s wonderfully distinctive Diamond Jubilee design, with colorful heraldic figures, gilt detailing and commemorative “60” motifs.
The collection includes the teapot, four teacups, four saucers and four 22 cm plates, together with a pair of silver sugar tongs from a coordinating collection.
Particularly desirable is the survival of the original Fortnum & Mason presentation boxes for every piece except the teapot, many retaining their original 2012 retail labels. The collection is also accompanied by its original bill of lading, providing documented provenance.
Condition: The teapot, all four saucers, all four plates and three teacups are exceptionally well preserved, with no chips, cracks, staining or other damage noted. One teacup has a very fine hairline crack visible from the interior but not visible from the exterior. It has been retained so that the service remains a complete four-place setting. Please see the detailed condition photographs.
The underside of the china carries the FORTNUM & MASON - PICCADILLY - 1707 - FINE BONE CHINA backstamp.
This is being offered as a complete collection rather than as separate pieces; a particularly attractive opportunity for a collector of Fortnum & Mason, Queen Elizabeth II, British royal commemoratives, and/or fine bone china.
