FLUORITE (GLASS CLEAR edged cubes) *El Hammam, Khemisset Province, Morocco* For Sale

El Hammam mine in Morocco is a pretty well-known site, especially for fluorite. But look on Mindat and you'll see mostly flat green (boring) and yellow pieces that are rarely special. This is VERY different. I got *really* lucky buying this from one of The Arkenstone's sales. The Arkenstone is easily one of the US's 5 most well-known mineral dealers (and who, self-proclaim they don't deal in minerals under $1,000!)
This piece has cloudy white material in the center of the fluorite cubes and instantly switches to completely glass clear light green. This means the exterior of the cubes is like glass. Great light reflections and an exceptional piece to view up close. The presence of calcite and quartz reminds us this is clearly from mother earth and an absolute wonder to behold.
This was formerly in the collection of Kurt Hefendehl, a famous German collector who collected for nearly 70 years before passing in 2020. His collection reached 6,000 pieces and The Arkenstone selected only the finest from that collection.NOTE THE SIZE BEFORE YOU BUYSize: 9.7 x 5.9 x 3.1cmWeight: 213gMineral Source: El Hammam Mine, El Hammam, Ait Mimoune Caïdat, Khemisset Cercle, Khemisset Province, MoroccoFluorescent? **VERY** Fluorescent.
