What You Are Getting
An etched pottery wedding vase, the traditional double-spout shape with twin spouts joined by an arched handle, about 5.5 in tall.
A band of fine incised feathers and steps runs through terracotta, black and sky blue on a glossy cream body, each line cut by hand through the color to the white clay. Signed on the base, which reads “Kanuho / Navajo / USA.”
Condition & Details
Size: about 5.5 in tall, measured against the tape.
Mark: signed as quoted above. The signature is reported as it reads; I have not independently verified the maker.
The flaws, all of them:
- Surface marks and light wear on the unglazed base.
