Vintage linen postcard depicting the residence of actor Errol Flynn in Beverly Hills, California, with a circular color portrait inset. This attractive Hollywood souvenir combines a landscaped home view with a recognizable image of the mustached actor, framed by a warm peach-colored border.
The front caption reads:
“785. RESIDENCE OF ERROL FLYNN, BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA”
THE RESIDENCE AND GROUNDS
The illustration shows a substantial house partly screened by mature trees and dense landscaping. Architectural details include steeply pitched rooflines, prominent gables, decorative half-timbering, and contrasting wall surfaces.
A green lawn stretches along the street, with shrubs, flower beds, and trees providing a leafy setting around the residence. The house is viewed from across the roadway, giving the scene the appearance of a visitor’s glimpse of a movie star’s property.
The circular portrait at the right shows Flynn wearing a jacket and tie. Its placement against the blue sky balances the architectural view and makes the celebrity connection immediately apparent.
The textured linen surface and saturated greens, blues, and warm border tones give the postcard strong visual appeal. It would fit equally well in a collection of Hollywood souvenirs, celebrity portraits, or California residential views.
