Mint (M)
Book appears unread and is in perfect condition, with no wear, marks, or damage.
Near-Mint (NM)
Book looks new. If vintage, likely bagged by a collector upon purchase. Unread, clean, and unmarked, with tight binding, sharp corners, and flat spine. No major defects. Some light page browning or foxing may be present in vintage books.
Very Fine (VF)
Book looks nearly new but may show minor flaws on close inspection, such as light scuffing or tiny edge creases. Tight spine, intact covers and pages with slight edgewear or faint marks. Light page browning or foxing may be present in vintage books.
Fine (FN)
Book shows minor handling wear, like small edge creases, light scuff marks, or one or two very small tears (under 1/2 inch) - any tears will be noted in description if present. Tight spine, clean and complete pages. Mild page browning or foxing may be present in vintage books.
Very Good (VG)
Average used book. Noticeable cover scuffs, creases, and small edge tears (under 1 inch) - any tears will be noted in description if present. Spine may show slight roll or mild creasing but remains firm. Pages are intact and complete, possibly with minor corner creases.
