This postcard depicts East Hall, the University of Rhode Island\'s physics building in Kingston. Published by Max Silverstein & Son, Providence, Rhode Island.East Hall was completed in October of the Edwardian era and originally served as a men\'s dormitory to address a housing shortage on campus.
The building features late Georgian-style granite architecture with distinctive arched windows on the first floor and brick trim edging.
After its dormitory years, the Physics Department relocated to East Hall from temporary Quonset Huts following the war, and continues to occupy the building today.Shipping and Handling:
