Early Pair Meissen Antique Porcelain Monkey Figurines For Sale

Very early Meissen monkey figures. They are unmarked which can be the case with Meissen at times. I have not attempted to clean them so there is some dust in the fine details. These monkeys measure 1.5\" high and 7/8\" across the base. Very small delicate. 1 monkey arm appears to be a slightly different color (circled in purple) it is not glue. Appears to be possibly a porcelain repair or some type of porcelain like material. Very top tips of one monkey hand are possibly chipped hard to tell (I circled this in purple also). If anyone knows more of the time period of these please let me know. The old man that gave them to me said they are very old and the first year they made them. Don\'t know how he knew that but that\'s what he said about them. Adorable matching pair holding an apple and green ball or fruit. Enjoy!
