Early 60's STP Vintage Super Concentrated Oil Treatment 16 fl oz For Sale

Early 60's can in PERFECT condition.
16oz not the 15oz after the mid 60'sxAI;
16 fl. oz. / 1 pt. size. That is the key clue:
Early STP Oil Treatment cans (especially the “Super Concentrated” / “Quiets Noisy Motors” metal style) were commonly 1 pint (16 oz).By the later 1960s and into the 1970s they largely standardized on 15 oz metal (and later composite) cans.16 oz examples are associated with the early-to-mid 1960s, particularly the Studebaker/Studebaker-Packard ownership period (STP was acquired by Studebaker-Packard in 1961) and the years immediately after. Collector listings of comparable 16 oz “Super Concentrated” / “Quiets Noisy Motors” metal cans are routinely described as 1960s (some specifically tagged around 1962).Bottom line: The can is a 1960s example (most likely early-to-mid 1960s based on the 16 oz size). The “B1601” stamp is a manufacturing lot code rather than a readable date code, and “WINTER GRADE” is a can-end marking rather than a product date.
