This is a view of the first version of the Disneyland Hotelthat Walt referred to as the Garden Apartments. He wanted guests to be able to spend their vacation in a setting with apartment amenities. Walt convinced Jack Wrather and his actress wife, Bonita Granville, to purchase land adjacent to the park and construct a series of these two-story apartment style buildings. The first of these buildings opened in October 1955.

The late Ken Eslick amassed arguably the largest and best collection of Disneyland postcards. He created the website,disneylandpostcards.net., with photos, front and back, of the postcards in his collection. This massive undertaking was completed in 2012 just prior to his passing. His website continues today as the most comprehensive guide for Disneyland postcard collectors. He was missing very few of those early postcards from the 1950\'s & 60\'s. This is one of those he was missing. It is not on his website.
