Authentic antique stoneware advertising jug from Fred’k Myll Co., a historic Detroit firm once located at 169 Monroe Avenue.
This large salt-glazed stoneware jug stands approximately 13″ tall with an 8½″ base diameter and features bold black stenciled lettering that remains legible and well-preserved. The jug includes its original cork, though the cork is broken, as shown in photos. Its narrow spout and sturdy handle are intact, making it a handsome example of early 1900s Midwest advertising pottery.
Condition is good antique overall:
• Minor surface wear, light base chipping, and typical glaze crazing
• Broken cork present; handle and body structurally sound
• No major cracks or repairs
• Displays beautifully with even glaze and crisp lettering
