This mature specimen has a particularly attractive creamy-white ground, accented by subtle golden-tan coloration and distinct warm brown spotting along the margins. Substantial callusing, a glossy surface and beautifully defined form give this naturally small cowrie exceptional presence.
The aperture and teeth present very nicely, and no drill hole is observed. Its pale coloration gives this specimen a distinctly different appearance from many of the darker or more strongly colored examples of the species.
