These Stunning Gold Specimens are recovered from a line of Quartz wrapped in a twisted line of schist and hard rock. It was the heavily mineralized schist that was my first clue I found Gold making them a big factor in my discovery and I include a piece of the shist in every order so you can see what I saw that day.
The Tellurides are so rich their soft and malleable. With the richness comes colour the Native Gold and Gold Tellurides blend together and put on an incredible display of natural gold. The Gold Tellurides are the principle mineral with Native Gold present you'll always get gold from these but without proper processing I can't make guarantees as to the amount. XRF testing only tests the immediate surface that it touches so it can take 2 or 3 attempts before you get a positive result for Gold. Because it's natural it does contain small amounts of other minerals and can give misleading results.
With proper processing you can expect 25% to 40% Gold by weight. So there's no confusion I'm talking about the weight of the tellurides not the entire Specimen.
It's with written granted access that I recover them, I do pay the land owner for access and it's quite a hike to reach it. The Gold bearing pockets are small sometimes I only recover 2 or 3 from a pocket and I'm working my way to the next pocket so it's hard work but the rewards keep me motivated.
