Covellite, Leonard mine, Butte, MT, USA For Sale

Here is a really good Covellite, with unusually good blue iridescence, nice squarish build, more substantial when seen in person than it\'s weight and size indicate... probably because of the solid compressed shape... Absolutely above average in quality and appeal for this copper sulfide from Butte. This specimen was likely collected at the Leonard mine. Please note that the price of good Covellite has shot up over the last 8 years, just due to general scarcity, and the only new ones coming out, are from old collections, as mine production has ceased decades ago, making all of these historic mineralogical \"mining artefacts\". This specimen is 50 grams, or 1 3/4 oz in weight. The size is 1 inch x 1.5 inch x 0.7 inch. Please be advised, I ship with Ground Advantage.
