Contemporary Bronze Modernist Sculpture Giacometti Style Signed c.1960s
: Beautiful and very interesting and unusual cast bronze sculpture of two people (two men? or man and woman?) engaged in a conversation.
Made of cast bronze with ntural patina. Mounted on black marble pedestal and signed by the artist and shows a foundry stamp. Unfortunately I was not able to decipher the signature - it starts with \"G\" and then illegible. The foundry stamp says \"DAMA CASTING\" with some other letters that is hard to tell - looks like \"DS BARDOS\", something in Spanish but again, it is hard to tell.
The statue is made in \"raw bronze\" style reminding of Alberto or Diego Giacometti\'s work. I assume it\'s from 1950s - 1960s based on my research of modernist bronze, but it could older. The deep natural patina doesn\'t correlate with more modern times.
Great original work of art of a talented artist. It is very impressive attractive to the eye - once you look at it it keeps drawing your attention.
It is very heavy - it weighs around 14 lb, 10\" tall, 7.5\" wide, 4.5\" deep.
