Cinematic Duplicate the Order of Lenin - an extremely rare artifact of communist propaganda of the Soviet Era.
In the Soviet Union, the private production of copies or imitations, duplicatesof awards was a criminal offense. All awards or their imitations and duplicateswere produced only by the state in state factories. This imitation duplicateof the Order of Lenin was made in the workshop of the Soviet state film company "Mosfilm". It was used in 1960-1970s as a prop in films about war or military personnel promoting the Soviet way of life and communist achievements and values.
This imitation duplicateof the order is made of bronze (original order - gold) by stamping and subsequent machining. The main differences from the original award: base metal, lack of a number and the inscription “МОНДВОР” (engl. - "State Mint"). On the back side of pillow for the order there is a stamp “Mosfilm”.The indentation in the pad corresponds to the Soviet Order of Nakhimov.

A very interesting old photo - in real life,general Rotmistrovwas not awarded two early-type Orders of Lenin (only one - in 1942) and the general was never awarded the Order of the Patriotic War. In the photo there are these two orders, whichgeneral Rotmistrovnever had. Perhaps the actor Babenko took the uniform of another movie character for the casting, but the actor’s appearance corresponds to the appearance ofgeneral Rotmistrov.
