Christian's Hut, a saloon, was built in the 1930s after a movie set was left behind by the film, "Mutiny on the Bounty." The saloon was named after Christian Fletcher, a character in the film. Christian's Hut was a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and it was known for its lively atmosphere. The saloon burned down in the mid-1940s and was never rebuilt.
