This is not simply a photograph or later biographical account. The Japanese manuscript is personally handwritten by Isozaki and records the chronology of his own military and aviation career.
Chitoshi Isozaki (1913–1993) was a veteran Imperial Japanese Navy aviator whose military flying career stretched from the prewar period through the end of World War II.
He became an experienced fighter pilot and instructor and ultimately a recognized Japanese naval fighter ace credited with 12 aerial victories.
Isozaki flew during the Pacific War and was associated with several important Imperial Japanese Navy aviation units and combat theaters. His career included service connected with the Tainan Air Group and later Japanese naval fighter organizations, including service during the defense of Japan.
