The vase has the elongated bottle form associated with Cedar Mesa’s 3 × 8 inch bud vase .

The base is also hand inscribed:

(The vase originally had a Cedar Mesa model 10050 label on the underside. The label was removed to expose and photograph the hand incised “Mitchell Navajo” signature underneath.)
