Castello Sea Rock Briar 65 kkk Bent Billiard Carlo Scotti Era (Italian Estate) For Sale

Castello Sea Rock Briar (65) (kkk) Bent Billiard Carlo Scotti Era (1982-1983)This is a highly collectible 1982 to 1983 transition era Castello Sea Rock Briar Shape "65" Bent Billiard estate pipe. Handcrafted in Cantu, Italy, this full-sized piece beautifully captures the muscular, straight-walled tubular geometry that made the Shape 65 famous worldwide. The kkk in an oval, stamped on the bottom of the shank was introduced in 1982, which aids in determining the pipe's age. This particular pipe features a deeply carved, highly tactile dark Sea Rock rusticated finish. This rugged texture is contrasted beautifully by a smooth, perfectly round rim that adds a spectacular contrast to the craggy surface of the bowl.Unlike standard variations, this piece features a gorgeous, continuous full tapered lucite stem. The shank bends gracefully upward and connects seamlessly with the stem, which continues the upward arch before leveling off almost even with the rim. This fluid tailoring creates a stunning, soft S-shape profile that feels incredibly balanced in the hand and mouth. The stem elegantly flares outward just before the button for a 3/4 inch wide, comfortable bite zone. It features the iconic inlaid white rhinestone logo, indicating it was designated for the premium U.S. export market. This beautiful Castello is in extraordinary estate condition with 5/16" thick walls to keep those smokes cool and comfortable. The hand feel is amazing and the pristine stem is super comfortable as well. This Carlo Scotti era piece will make a crowning addition to any high-grade Italian estate pipe collection. Fully restored, cleaned and sanitized for immediate enjoyment. Stamping:
