Antique cabinet card portrait features young John W. O’Donnell of Carlisle, Nicholas County, Kentucky, born in October 1894.
The reverse side features a handwritten inscription to his mother, \"Mrs. E. O\'Donnell, Carlisle, Ky\" (Margaret O\'Donnell), whose husband\'s name was Eugene. John was their lone surviving child. See included 1900 census images for reference.
On the back is a large original processing sticker from the Rizard Photo Co. (7 Blue Island Ave., Chicago, Ill.), indicating his mother sent this image of her child to Chicago around 1900 to order a premium enlargement.
