Original 1925 promotional desk memorandum/note pad advertising the Western Life Insurance Company of Des Moines, Iowa.
This unusual advertising piece combines several useful desk features in one item. It has a 1925 calendar, an inch ruler along the upper edge, and a stack of individual paper note/memorandum sheets retained by tabs.
The front is prominently printed:
“COMPLIMENTS OF
WESTERN LIFE
INSURANCE COMPANY
OF DES MOINES, IOWA”
The calendar is divided into January–June 1925 and July–December 1925 sections.
One of the particularly nice features of this example is that individual paper sheets are still present in the holder. These were functional advertising pieces intended to be used on a desk, so surviving examples retaining their paper are especially interesting.
