Brian Conley (b.1961) – British comedian, actor and television presenter, best known for The Brian Conley Show (ITV) and his award‑winning West End roles. This is Conley’s original typed-and-signed manuscript submitted to Macmillan Cancer Relief for the charity volume First Memories of the Famous (1996), where it appeared as page 18 in facsimile.
Conley provides a full comic routine, including his “parents beating me up” gag, the “poor family / candle for heating” joke, and his trademark self‑mocking humour (“World Famous Actor/Comedian and Right Clever Dick!”). Signed boldly at the foot.
The letterhead — “B Conley, c/o Victoria Palace Theatre, London” — places this securely in c.1994–95, during his run in the West End revival of Me and My Girl and the height of his ITV primetime career. This is significantly stronger than a routine autograph: it is content‑rich, signed, and the exact source document used to create the published facsimile page.
