• This stunning depiction isbased on some 67,000 photographs — 17,000 aerial shots and theremaindertaken from the ground. Each building was then hand drawn at a scale of1:4,800.
• Hermann Bollmann was a German illustrator, graphicdesigner and cartographer who combined photographic documentation witha sense of design in order to make this highly detailed yet readablecityscape, printed by Barnes Press and published by Pictorial Maps,Inc.,97 Warren Street, New York.
• The map measures a generous 86 x 109.5 cm [33¾" x 43"].
• It tucks inside the rear flap of a 48-page guide tothe city, with decorative carboard covers, distributed by AmericanAirlines.
