Boehm Bridled Tit 200-24 Porcelain Bird Beetle Fungi England 9.5\" For Sale

Detailed vintage Boehm porcelain sculpture depicting a Bridled Tit, identified on the factory mark by its earlier scientific name Parus wollweberi.

The bird is shown perched high on a dramatically twisting tree trunk, looking downward toward a remarkably detailed colorful beetle resting among clusters of shelf-like fungi. The composition combines the naturalistic bird modeling for which Boehm is known with unusually elaborate botanical and insect detail.

The Bridled Tit is rendered in soft gray, cream, black and warm buff tones, with its distinctive pointed crest and bold facial markings. The tree is modeled in weathered gray-brown tones and surrounded by yellow-brown fungi with subtly reddish edges. A blue, red and black beetle provides a striking focal point beneath the bird.

The bird, beak, crest, tail, feet, tree structure, applied fungi, and highly delicate beetle appear intact. The beetle\'s fine legs and antennae are present as shown in the close-up photographs.
