Bishop of London, William Howley. 2p ALS (Autograph Letter Signed) from 'Fulham', dated 'July 10, 1820'. Along with the original posted wrapper to go with the letter, with Fulham & 7 o'clock 10 Feb 1820 post marks.

William Howley (Feb 1766 – Feb 1848) was a clergyman in the Church of England. He served as Archbishop of Canterbury from 1828 to 1848.

This lot came as part of an extensive collection of some couple of thousand items (clipped signatures / autographs / letters / signed sketches, free fronts, etc) bought from a single source.
