1939 Pacific Coast League Annual Hollywood Baseball Pass From Muncrief Estate

This comes directly from the estate/collection of Bob Muncrief, two-time World Series Champion pitcher (1944 & 1948).
Up for sale is a very cool and uniquely rare annual baseball pass that was issued by the Pacific Coast League.
This white pass measures 2.5 X 3.75 Inches and does have some minor wear, discoloration, and light creasing as seen in the photos. It\'s made of thick paper/card stock. Nonetheless, it\'s a survivor and displays quite nicely. The Pass is numbered #79. The Pass was issued to Mrs. Bob Muncrief.
Best of all, this is not your ordinary Annual Pass as it ties to major league pitcher, Bob Muncrief and comes directly from his collection and estate!

This pass comes from the collection once owned by Bob Muncrief. Bob Muncrief was a professional major league baseball player and later was a sale’s representative at Bob Hayes Chevrolet Company out of Dallas, Texas in the 1960s-1970s. Muncrief collected many unique items during his careers and kept them stored away for years which ultimately preserved their life. A copy of a photo of Bob (sitting in chair) along with his Son (standing, and also named Bob) as well as photos of Muncrief in Uniform are presented here for reference but are not included in this sale.
Bob Muncrief was a professional baseball player for 25 years and pitched against Hall of Fame players such as Ted Williams, Jackie Robinson, Hank Greenberg, and Joe DiMaggio. In 1940 he was voted the most valuable player in the Texas League while with San Antonio. While with the American League St. Louis Browns Muncrief was voted to play for the 1944 American League All Star Team. Muncrief led the American League in won-lost percentage in 1945. He pitched in two World Series. In 1944 while with the St. Louis Browns, and in 1948 while with the World Champion Cleveland Indians. Over a five-year span Muncrief relieved in over 30 winning games per year. During his Major League playing career Muncrief pitched for the St. Louis Browns (now the Baltimore Orioles), Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Chicago Cubs. He was invited to Spring Training with the Yankees in 1951 but was assigned to the American Association Kansas City Blues. Before retirement Muncrief played with the Pacific Coast League\'s Los Angeles Angels, and the San Francisco Seals.
