Description:

Up for your consideration is this vintage Budweiser \"King of Beers\" lighted pocket watch-style advertising clock, a striking piece of mid-century brewery breweriana made for tavern and bar display. The lights and the rotating motor work but the clock does not - so this is being sold as is partially running for repair. It is shaped like an oversized pocket watch, the piece features a beaded gold-tone bezel, a clock face with the classic Budweiser bowtie logo, and a rotating motion. The reverse side depicts a scene of a female patron enjoying a cold Budweiser. Attached carries a cast \"King of Beers\" medallion or \"Fob\" to the Pocket Watch with the Anheuser-Busch eagle crest. The Stem of the Pocket Watch is stamped \"ANHEUSER-BUSCH, INC. — ST. LOUIS — NEWARK — LOS ANGELES — USA,\" which, based on the breweries listed, dates production to the early 1950s, before Anheuser-Busch\'s later plant expansions.

Notably, this example includes its winder cap, the small fluted piece that mounts atop the sign at the plug-in point — a part that is frequently missing from surviving examples of this clock and rarely found intact. The hanging chain is brass-tone and the outer housing has the appearance of brass but is molded plastic, both original to how these were manufactured.

All lights on this piece function correctly, and the internal motor runs which rotates the pocket watch, but the clock hands do not advance — this is being sold as-is, with no returns, so please review all photos closely before offerding and ask questions. A wonderful, rare find for the serious Budweiser or breweriana collector looking to complete their collection.

DIMENSIONS: The Pocket Watch Clock measures 3-1/2\" thick x 17\" tall x 12\" in diameter. The Medallion (Fob)measures 1/2\" thick x 8-1/4\" in diameter. The cord and Brass Tone Chain are approximately 10 to 12 feet long.

CONDITION: This Budweiser Clock comes to you in overall good condition. As has been stated in the Description, the rotating motor runs and the lights work in the clock and the overhead light however the clock hands do not move. There is wear on the gold-tone of the housing and the medallion (Fob). Also, the plastic face has no cracks but some light scratches and some hazing.
