This listing is for a Rare Vintage c. 1976 Edward Marshall Boehm Hand Painted Porcelain Framed Plaque of George Washington. This plaque can be seen on page 258 RPS-2027 of \"The Porcelain Art of Edward Marshall Boehm\" by Reese Palley (photo 5). This portrait is based on the famous painting by Gilbert Stuart. Signed \"Boehm\" at lower right of front (photo 4). There is a window opening on the back where it is marked \"Edward Marshall Boehm Ltd. Porcelain Malvern Link England\", \"Title: George Washington\", \"Handpainted by: A.R. Telford\", \"No. 5\", and \"Year: 1976\" (photo 3). I believe there were only 13 of these made and I have never seen one come up for sale.
It is in excellent condition overall. The porcelain plaque is perfect with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Surface looks great with no scratches. Just some minor signs of wear to the edges of the frame and backing (photos 17-20). No other issues. Looks clean. *(White spots in pictures are glare / lighting from photos and not actually on the item). Please view photos carefully as they are my main description. It is big and extremely fragile weighing 6.8 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed.
