DETECTIVE COMICS #575 FACSIMILE — ORIGINAL BATMAN COVER ART BY JESSE LUNDBERG
Striking one-of-a-kind Batman sketch cover created and signed by published comic-book cover artist Jesse David Lundberg.
This is far more developed than a typical head sketch. Lundberg created a dramatic full-cover composition featuring Batman’s head and upper body, sweeping cape, Gotham skyline, bats, lightning and white atmospheric highlights. The red, black and white palette works beautifully with the classic Detective Comics design and gives the artwork tremendous display presence.
Lundberg is an established illustrator and published cover artist whose credits include the limited D’Orc #1 variant for Image Comics, along with covers for Dick Tracy, Ironface, Mighty Mascots, Surrounded by Death and I Am the First.
The artwork was drawn live during a Forty Nines Comics event on April 23, 2026. A detailed Certificate of Authenticity signed by Lundberg is included and identifies the comic, artwork, date and signing information.
