This is vintage 1970\'s artwork by the famous Jewish artist Baruch Nachshon (1939–2021), known as the Chabad Hasidic artist and one of the most important mystical painters in modern Jewish art. Nachshon was personally encouraged by the Lubavitcher Rebbe and became a central figure in combining Chassidic symbolism, Biblical motifs and vibrant mystical colors. He was also one of the seven pioneer Jewish families who re-settled in Hebron in 1967 right after the Six Day War, marking a historic moment in the return of Jewish life to the city of the Patriarchs. This artwork, titled \"A New Light\", is filled with deep symbolism: the eternal flame rising from a lotus, a gazelle, a dove of peace, drops of water, and the walled city below. The city clearly depicts Jerusalem and the Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock at its center, surrounded by mystical Jewish imagery, flames, reflecting Nachshon’s vision of the present reality elevated by divine light and the hope for redemption, the prayer that “a new light will shine on Zion.” Printed in Hebron in the early 1970\'s, this rare piece captures both spiritual depth and historical significance.
