Description: Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic Missouri Thebes point/knife crafted from high-quality, creamy-white Burlington Chert. You can clearly see the fossilized crinoid segments (tiny circles) within the stone, characteristic of authentic Missouri material.
Key Features:
Strong Beveling: This piece shows heavy ancient resharpening, resulting in a distinct beveled edge.
Unique Spokeshave/Scraper Notch: A secondary notch was anciently chipped into the side near the tip, likely used as a spokeshave for smoothing arrow/spear shafts or processing cordage.
Condition: Excellent \"as-found\" condition with great patina and no modern damage. The base remains sharp and unground, suggesting it may have been used as a hand-held multi-tool after being reworked if it was reworked possibly made for this purpose using the style used at the time.
