Offered here is a beautiful early Attakus Collection Spider-Man “Window” C408 statue, sculpted by Bombyx and produced under license from Marvel.
This example is #1080 of a worldwide limited edition of only 3,333 pieces and includes its original numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Most importantly, this statue is NEW OLD STOCK and has NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED.
It has remained stored in its original box and protective packaging since purchase. The statue itself is in excellent, essentially pristine condition.
Please note that the outer box does show some cosmetic wear and storage dings consistent with age. The box is more than 25 years old, so some shelf and storage wear should be expected. This wear is to the packaging only and does not affect the statue.
ABOUT THE PIECE
This is one of the more distinctive early Marvel pieces produced by Attakus, the French company known for highly detailed, hand-finished character sculptures.
Rather than placing Spider-Man in a simple standing pose, “Window” creates a full miniature environment, showing Spider-Man climbing through a window in a scene that feels like it was lifted directly from a classic comic-book panel.
It is a wonderfully character-specific design. Spider-Man is doing what Spider-Man should actually be doing: climbing through buildings, hanging upside down and generally making property insurance more complicated.
The piece was sculpted by Bombyx and released in a worldwide edition of just 3,333 examples.
These early Attakus Marvel statues predate the current era of oversized premium statues and represent an interesting period in the development of high-end comic-book collectibles.
