1920s-1930s Men’s Haberdashery Interior Photograph – Original Art Deco Retail Shop Snapshot

Up for sale is a remarkably crisp, authentic vintage silver gelatin photograph capturing the impeccably organized interior of a mid-to-late 1920s or early 1930s men's haberdashery/clothing boutique.

• Details & Context: This striking deep-focus interior view showcases two sharply dressed proprietors or clerks standing proudly in their shop. The store features incredible historical details, including overhead wire displays hanging circular rows of patterned wide silk ties, massive wall shelving packed with vintage hat boxes, glass showcases filled with folded dress shirts, and beautiful Art Deco tiered glass milk-pendant light fixtures lining the ceiling.

• The Mount/Folder: The photograph comes housed inside its original period grey cardstock presentation folder, which features a debossed black Art Deco geometric border and stylized chevron emblems. The folder acts as a slip-in mount, allowing the photo to be removed or adjusted.

• Condition: Good vintage condition. The photographic print itself features excellent clarity, deep blacks, and crisp contrast. The cardstock folder shows typical signs of antique wear, including corner rounding, minor edge crinkling, and a small surface tear/scuff on the right-hand inner border trim (as shown in detail photos). The reverse side of the folder shows vintage age-toning and mild water staining along the top edge, none of which impacts the photo.
