Vintage artisian hard-plastic nun doll measuring 7.5" with sleepy/moving blue eyes and Dominican-style religious habit in novice all white and the signs of Stigmata on her feet, Eyes, throat, and hands.
》Standard plastic sleepy-eye novelty dolls or devotional items were mass-produced from the 1950s onward. However, the explicit "stigmata" features on this are extremely uncommon. This implies an artist custom painted this doll.
》Size: 7.5" tall and 2" wide and long.
》 Materials: Hard plastic body and head, featuring sleep mechanisms in the blue eyes.
》 Habit: Dressed in traditional religious all white fabric wore by many novices of different orders. Included are accessories of a miniature rosary crucifix a Bible, and dove of peace.
》Stigmata Association: True stigmata are the wounds matching the crucifixion of Jesus. Religious figures sometimes associated with stigmata include saints like St. Catherine of Siena (a Dominican tertiary) or Padre Pio, whose iconography occasionally inspires custom or artisan pieces rather than vintage 1950s plastic novelty dolls.
