Madame Sara Spencer Washington (1889-1953) was one of America\'s leading Black female entrepreneurs — beauty empire, products, shops, honored at 1939 World\'s Fair. Early signed diplomas are very scarce.STORAGE: I have kept it folded as I found it and it is now in an acid-free archival sleeve. I did not attempt to press, iron, or flatten it. New owner can decide to keep folded or have professionally conserved.CONDITION - As Found:
• Original 1934 diploma paper — toned with age
• Small brown foxing spot at top center near \"(Diploma)\" — light damp/water stain across middle horizontal fold — minor spots on blank back — see front/back photos
• All printing, date, and signature \"Mme. Sara Spencer Washington\" clear and readable
• Gold seal intact with some gilt wear/flaking — blue ribbon intact with frayed tips
• No tears, no tape, no repairs
• Currently stored in acid-free sleeve100% original, not a copy.
