Antique c.1938 Snow White & Seven Dwarfs BISQUE Figurines Japan – Pre-War Disney For Sale

Offered here is a vintage late 1930s–early 1940s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs bisque figurine grouping made in Japan.

These are small, hand-painted bisque ceramic figures — not later plastic or chalkware reproductions.

This lot includes:

• Snow White
• Bashful
• Happy
• Sneezy
• Grumpy (2 examples)
• Sleepy (2 examples)

The set is missing Doc.

The figures are:

• Bisque (fired ceramic) construction
• Hand-painted with cold-painted details
• Incised character names on hats
• Molded “WALT DISNEY” mark
• Ink-stamped “JAPAN”

The style, material, molded Disney mark, and Japan export stamp are consistent with documented late 1930s Japanese bisque Snow White figure sets imported into the United States in connection with the film’s original release era, including examples distributed by the George Borgfeldt Corporation.

While no original packaging accompanies this group, the construction and markings strongly align with known pre-war Japanese Disney bisque figures.
