🏆 Offered here is an antique L.F. & C. (Landers, Frary & Clark) pruning knife, manufactured in New Britain, Connecticut during the c. 1890-1920 era. Now well over a century old, this heavy-duty working knife features its original ebony handles and classic pruning blade, representing the quality and craftsmanship of early American cutlery.

The blade retains a strong profile with attractive age patina and honest evidence of careful use. Mechanically, this knife is excellent with very strong snap, positive half stops, and absolutely no blade wobble.

The original ebony handles remain solid overall and display beautiful age and character. There is an age-related crack in the mark-side ebony handle near the front pin, which has been clearly photographed for complete transparency.

Please note the blade strongly favors one side when closed but does not contact the liner. There is also a visible gap when viewing the backsprings, both of which are shown in the photographs.

🇺🇸 This is an honest, untouched American antique that has survived well over 100 years while retaining outstanding mechanical function. Original L.F. & C. pruning knives from this era continue to become increasingly difficult to find, particularly with strong snap, positive half stops, and no blade wobble.
