Up for sale or purchase is a magnificent example of late 19th-century Hungarian art pottery from the world-renowned workshop of Zsolnay Pécs. This exquisite double-walled faience vase showcases the factory’s legendary technical mastery and historic design influences.
Design & Features:
• Exquisite Reticulated Work: Features intricately hand-pierced openwork detailing throughout the flared rim, neck, and elegant side handles.
• Persian Revival Style: Decorated with a beautiful palette of pastel turquoise/light blue and soft peach, heavily accented with rich, hand-painted gold gilt scrolling floral motifs. This style was popularized by Vilmos Zsolnay and his daughters, drawing inspiration from historic Iznik and Persian textiles.
• Authentic Markings: The base features the crisp, authentic underglaze blue stacked "Zsolnay Pécs" factory mark with the flowing banner decoration. It also features a hand-painted decorator/pattern number "95" and a charming, vintage scalloped estate/inventory paper tracking label numbered "1635"

Condition Report:
This is an authentic, 130+ year old antique. Overall it displays beautifully with vibrant colors and rich gilding. The incredibly fragile reticulated openwork on the handles and neck remains remarkably intact. Please closely inspect all high-resolution photos provided to evaluate the glaze finish, natural age crazing, and exact condition details before purchasing.
As noted in the pictures, you can see there is some crazing on the bottom of the vase, but no evidence of any cracks or crazing or chips anywhere else.
