Key Features & Craftsmanship:

• Intact Hand-Cut Wooden Threads: Features a beautiful, hand-carved central wooden screw and matching threaded knob. The threads are remarkably clean, crisp, and undamaged for their age, allowing the mechanism to tighten and loosen smoothly.

Adjustable Spacing Design: Includes three beautifully tapered wooden index arms and interlocking diamond-shaped spacer blocks that pivot to lock in specific repeating dimensions. The end of one has been broken, making a shorter handle but still completely functional

• Historic Maker/Owner Mark: The end of the rounded tightening knob features a faint, blocky rectangular stamped impression, characteristic of early American toolmaker stamps.

• Patina & Condition: This piece has been gently cared for and dry-brushed to preserve its honest, untouched age. It boasts a rich, dark historic color and smooth wear patterns around the pivot points that collectors love.
