A beautiful, authentic turn-of-the-century antique porcelain table plateau (dresser stand) manufactured and decorated by the renowned firm William Guérin & Co. in Limoges, France. This piece dates from the late Victorian to Edwardian era, spanning between 1900 and 1932.
The plateau features a stunning hand-painted motif of purple violets nestled in soft yellow and green washes, executed on a crisp white porcelain blank. The rim is encased in a heavily detailed, factory-fitted gilt ormolu metal framework. The frame features two integrated side handles and terminates in three exquisite, high-relief rococo feet depicting winged cherub (putto) faces over C-scroll and shell designs.
